If you are playing 2 players and you are either white or black, aim to get a piece that would attack the opposing king if you are not blocked, then use jump. Be sure to use freeze so that they can't block. Also, a lot of players don't realize that when they move the queen to h5 or h4, they are in line with the rooks...
