Nothing happens when I change it. No sound nothing. Just says muted or got volume. Its called "enable bughouse sounds" What is this?

I think it is to enable voice chat with your partner in bughouse

It is to enable bughouse sounds. For example, if your partner snds you a “no knight” message (the knight figure in a 🚷), your computer will audibly say that as far as I know.
