what's the dimensions for the chess pieces?

hello. i wanna make my own custom chess pieces but they always seem too small. what are the dimensions for the chess pieces?

I work first in a vector editor, in a square shaped page (same height as width) and then I export to a 1500x1500 pixels png-file. I then take this huge image to my image editor and downscale to a 500x500 pixels png-file. This downscaling softens the harsh black lines on my original vector image. So each piece in my set is 500x500 pixels png-files, about 100 kB each. Finals size of all 10 pieces are just under 1 MB.

One thing more. I do play chess on my 4K 43" TV, on a full screen chess board, and all pieces look nice and sharp.
