Hi All -- Has chess.com developed a way (within chess.com itself) for players to use a computer to analyze their atomic games, where they went wrong, what they could do better, etc.?

SharkBaitHooHaHaHah

Not to my knowledge, Lichess has an engine (which is more use for maliciou purposes than analysing games)

FYI the lichess engine has been updated with NNUE and is now very capable of analyzing games and playing almost perfectly (it wasn't the case before)

HowlinD

Combine this with the lichess database and you will always know what to play

EagleOnHigh

I had noticed that lichess's Stockfish has gotten stronger over time, and that opening moves have changed somewhat. Must be due to the NNUE (machine learning), as I sort of suspected before.

Are you referring to the openings database? @HowlinD

Thing is -- there are so many opening lines -- it's impossible to memorize them all, fortunately. Of course we had one player who strongly asserted that she has a photographic memory.... which isn't possible to "disprove", and wasn't possible to prove, either...

lutobida

yea i dont stand a chance against stockfish lvl 8 anymore : skull :

HowlinD

No I'm referring to the lichess database, which record all games played up until the last move, so for any position you can know who played this before, what are the most common moves, and what are their respective winrate

@eagleonhigh

HowlinD

Just click on the book icon when you are in lichess analysis

HowlinD

Of course you can't memorize everything but you can learn very deeply, when you know for sure what the right moves are
