you should know because you are an old member (2008) but the new ones are seemingly different than the old ones so they are beta related
which features are beta?
One thing to check is the more recent Announcements.
The only major things that are Beta are
- the Menu, though this is rolling out to the rest of the site
- Collections in Analysis (Library is being replaced by this)
Feedback can be done by creating a new topic about a feature, if there isn't one already.
Adding to Martin's comment, you can determine which features are from Beta by leaving the club and taking note of what differences the are.
You can provide feedback in this very Beta club and in the official Chess.com Feedback club.
To be completely honest, this is absolute horse dung. Am I supposed to join and leave the club and then do a sitewide analysis to try and sift out what is beta and what is not? People who are on payroll get treated better than that. The very least they could do is have a running list somewhere of beta features, and an update when those features are backed out or pushed forward to production. Otherwise I have no flipping clue what I should be commenting on or not, without a full on research project.
And, just because I've been here since 2008 doesn't mean I'm a site expert fully versed in every single feature. I have areas of the site that matter a lot to me and other areas that don't. But the right set of new features could change that viewpoint, which is why I joined beta to begin with.
There can be Beta code active at any point in time, some that are actually newer features, done that are more minor updates, such as bug fixes, performance improvements, or other enhancements.
Sometimes there are code updates multiple times a week, sometimes multiple a day. It would take significant time to create and update such a list.
Most major changes will get an announcement or forum post. Beyond that, just use the site normally and if you think you found a bug, you can report it.
How do I know which features on the site are new/beta? if I have feedback what is the mechanism to provide that feedback?
