Why aren't WoFs listed?

Title. It would take less than 15 minutes to create a new filter "WoF" and list all the WoFs there (not on any of the NCP lists or filters). Not only would this let people play WoFs while not in rotation (which is already somewhat accomplished by the WoF index (somewhat because it is pretty awkward to use), people looking to create WoFs could easily scroll through the positions and see what the positions look like without clicking once, both to get ideas and to make sure they aren't just recasting another position. A sizable portion of WoFs I see submitted are just not original, not because they are copied, but because the position author probably didn't see the WoF which already had that concept.

TLDR: We have WoF index, but it's inefficient, why don't we list WoFs

Remember to list Bishop War, Mathletics Cup, The Lottery, Crazy Pawns, Dancing with the moonlit Knight and the Western War (Red colour = MY WOF)

Alright, let's assume that we list 110+ Wheels of Fortune everyone can easily play at any moment in time. Now, let's think again of it: what is the idea to have a special tournament being able to be played whenever one wants to play it? Most WoF players have multiple favourite WoFs, so why just not play something else they like or join another WoF queue they like instead of joining the tournament? The idea of having WoFs listed in a manner of easy access and even more of it, being listed as variants just depreciates the whole idea of WoF.

Furthermore, having WoFs played constantly means players will figure out the best strategies way faster, leading WoFs to lose their interest by a great deal. Do you really want this? I oppose this idea.

My main concern is that so many newly submitted WoFs are just completely copied because people looking to make WoFs have no easy way of seeing what already has been done (whereas for NCPs, you can scroll through list without clicking, WoF index is cumbersome and you have to click on each individual one to see what it is).

As for the strategies of WoFs being figured out too quickly, I don't really agree. Who would spend their time trying to figure out strategies for WoFs? Not rating farmers, since it would be casual, and the average player looking to have fun will probably not be as analytical as you or me; they probably would not put much effort, if any at all, into strategic optimization.

I do not believe this would affect the regular WoF rotation, which is all about competition and finding tricks to win quickly. Besides, all the good WoFs have some element which makes figuring out the best strategies problematic, whether it be randomness, innate complexity (note that what you find simple, others may find complex. For instance, do you think the average player could figure out WoF - []?), or high potential for multiple players sabotaging each other. If some shallow WoFs (*cough* *cough* Lone King War *cough* *cough*) are unable to run anymore, great.

Remove Lone King War because Green can't win or at least turn Green into a random zombie.

Now let's imagine there is a very trivial way of accessing any WoF you would like to play at any moment. Would this simplify WoF creation? Definitely. However, let's assume today is my semi-favourite WoF running Royal Sacrifice but meanwhile, there is a more favourite WoF of mine being run as a queue. Was it to happen that an average player is me, would I join the more favourite WoF rather than the semi-favourite one? This depreciates WoF's popularity by a great deal.

Now let's assume that qilp joins into the queue and all of a sudden plays a move that wins by force, and the beginner then memorises it. The intermediate players keep the line in their memory whilst everyone else who they play against might also remember it if they have decent skill. Congratulations, sooner or later all WoFs but super-complex ones will be considered shallow for at least 15+ players, and the remaining ones will be too complex to understand for beginners or too luck-based. Apparently, the meaning of WoF - is to be winnable by beginners and be exciting? A lot of time will be needed for this to happen, but it will happen sooner or later if anyone can access it easily.

If you do not like the Lone King war, what about one thousand players who play it? Why on this earth do they need to play some other WoF they like less instead of playing their fabulous, irremediably awe-inspiring Wheel of Fortune with 4 kings? Have you thought about this aspect? Compare 2-3 players at most playing and searching for WoF queue with 30+ players.

@bsrti

I think you are overestimating how popular this feature will be, and underestimating how lazy 4PC players are. WoFs would only be visible to those who filter for it, and queues would probably be as slow as Arena of Feet.

Here's another reason not to list WoFs.

Either way, the popularity and laziness you're talking about isn't worth the negative consequences of losing the essence of the WoF rotation. Moreover, the popularity you mentioned is, unfortunately, temporary. Sooner or later, the list will turn into a garbage dump of 200 positions with rarely filling queues of different positions, and interesting and exciting positions will remain without players as the positions will simply be learned whether you like it or not, become boring and annoying.

So although the idea of listing all WoFs is really cool, in the long run it intends to completely ruin the WoF rotation, as well as the interest in it and WoFs in general.

P.S. As for the index of existing WoFs and the current inefficient implementation of it – we already have the solution, coming soon!

Why don't you list the best wof's: Mathletics Cup, Pac Man, [ ] and more. One of my favourites is Crazy Pawns.

NOT LONE KING WAR

Obviously because they are best in only your opinion.

No, massive wave of players in these tournaments.

This is my main request; I don't like that new WoF authors have no idea whether their concept is original. Listed positions can be hovered over to see the position, so if an index with screenshots and gamerules existed, there would be no need for WoF to be listed.
