Why hasn't chess.com come out with a Bobby Fischer or Garry Kasparov bot?

I mean, I've been waiting for at least one of these bots ever since I joined chess.com. And they literally have almost every other top player.

Yeah i really think they could put some effort into that

Kasparov would require permission, for sure. There may still be some legal reasoning for Fischer as well.

An important question to ask oneself is if Bobby Fischer were alive today, would he want such a thing created? Would you want someone making a bot of you decades after passing away?

He's dead. He is officially history now.

They did it with Paul Morphy and Capablanca.

I'm also obsessed with those 2.

So has chess.com asked Kasparov for permission, and what might the legal reasoning be for Fischer?

I'm not sure on the first and I'm speculating on the second, as I don't know if there's an estate for him that might handle licensing things like that.
