Reason: A very unique, well-made, and fun variant with lots of interesting tricks!
The idea behind this template was to have some game based around knight moves, I chose the XXL board and filled it with walls and started by removing the center squares. From there I removed the walls for each knight move towards the edges, afterwards I added the center lines through the board diagonally and widened the one where the starting positions would be. Pieces were chosen for the players, I didn't want to go with just rook/bishop so I used the knight variants. The berolinas helped to fill some extra bishop slots without being too powerful, eventually I added more squares on the sides for them to jump where the knights cannot. The knights for the enemies were placed with intention that they could be taken over, I had to move them a bit. Finally the center squares were given more space considering that king of the hill was a good fit for the template.
*Also brought to my attention the Berolina is a pawn not the minor bishop piece aka Alibaba, however the name of the template is still appropriate to me as I was considering it a play on "stacking the deck" with the takeover element.
woohoo i love it awesome i love it so cool its my favorite yet i won king of the hill i love this variant

Although I want to vote, I think the Bare Piece rule can be added, and I think a few walls can be adjusted, otherwise it's very easy to cause a draw

Which walls? The bare piece rule will make it less possible to get king of the hill, even in positions where king of the hill is impossible bare piece rule disallows some strategic play in order to get checkmate in favor of stalemate. I don't think it is good for this template.
I just think that sometimes when someone can't do something, it's basically over, Or add some positions for alibaba to move. At present, it feels that alibaba can only be used for defense or clearing pieces and cannot attack

I think these squares are the only ones that could be opened, I don't know how much of an attack/defense this allows. Although the main pieces are the knights, between the bishop/rook variants you have good control of what happens and should look to attack with these.
Maybe it's your setting, when both sides can't reach the hill and both sides have no pawns, they can only rely on Play for Mate to win, in other words, whoever takes over first will win,
This means that the first mover (red) has an advantage in some situations
I can see this happening unless more squares are opened, such as if you look to the southern circled square and go right two squares, that can be opened but it also allows more knight moves of green and yellow (symmetrically) respectively to move away from the checks. That could be some solution to the problems being described.
However I see it that the draws are uncommon when the objective often is to push past and block your opponents opening rather than to block hill itself. In this scenario checkmates are more common as you are risking pieces for the objective.
