i have played this game, and it seems to be fun, i liked playing it and it did not seem like it was too unfair.
it is kind of linear, as the only strategy (assuming your opponent does not mess up) is to kill the pawns of the zombie that goes directly before you, (for yellow >> blue, and for red >> green) then when that zombie moves their amazon close, you can blow it up. after that you just try to end the game, by koth or by claim win if you can take just a few points.
- all in all, if both players play well they will both kill blue and green at about the same time, then it becomes a race for the hill, which is almost impossible to stop.
but since many players dont play well, it is usually fun.

This is a very interesting concept, but it seems that the best strategy is to not blow anything up and keep your pieces safe. The n check seems unnecessary with atomic also on, but otherwise good variant idea

The amazon will check the king 3 times and give the players a point boost

also, if you capture the amazon you basically win, because you get many more points than checkmate.
