Yes it should encourage Ivanchuk.  Will Kamsky's reaction to getting bitten by So's French Defence be tougher?

 The young Wesley So from the Philippines is the only sensation producer of the World Cup 2009. He won Vassily Ivanchuk in Round 2 and defeated the last Cup winner of the Cup Gata Kamsky with black.This guy is a future world champion,no doubt.

Before the start of Round 3, I laughed to myself, "I wonder what Ivanchuk will think if So beats Kamsky!"

I also knew, however, that this round would be the first one where Kamsky would face any serious challenge to his advancement in the tournament; the others looked way too easy for him.

Am I correct that Mamedyarov has not needed to play a rapid tie break game yet?  From my check of the brackets at wikipedia it shows he has won every match in two games.  Powerful.

StupidDrip95 you won't see all the results here, just our reactions to the interesting things that happen.  Such as the end of Svidler-Malakhov round 5.1 where Malakhov wins by underpromoting to a knight.  Chessbase put up a java replay for the variations here if you go to game 3.

I love the way ...Ng3 hits the white Q and it doesn't even matter because black is focused on mate anyway.
