- Anyone who seriously thinks they should be in this group - shouldn't be.
- We are the group that CAN RESIGN - "any time, any place any where".
- Our nemesis - the Chess-Spartans - are rumbling for a Vote Chess show-down. I've never done this, so I haven't a clue about it. Anyone in favour, say: "Aye!".
- Any Other Business?
You Must Remember This

1. I seriously think I shouldn't be a member of this group... where does that leave me?
2. I'm a candidate in the next cycle for the World Resigning Championships.
3. Nay! Wait until we get a few more members or try to attract one really strong player e.g. Bill Wall or linksspringer (saw a game of his where he resigned early, even by my standards).
4. We need a recruitment drive.

I'm a new member. I joined the group because I didn't like the movie 300 Spartans. Does that mean I seriously think I should be in this group?

Well, I'll try to be clear. Sometimes my English is not so good. I didn't like the ideology behind the movie: A militaristic society where "manhood" is encouraged. People with different points of view and different bodies are not allowed.

It seems to be an accurate representation of Sparta. I saw a TV series in Britain that was much the same. Here a link to it (http://www.channel4.com/history/microsites/H/history/n-s/spartans.html). Not a very appealing society!

Bye bye Athenians, I have taken the only, truly honourable path, resigning from the group. I hope that the remainder find the strength of purpose to follow suit.

A noble and heroic example of everything this group stands for - and holds most dear. Let's see whether the Spartans have the stomach to match that act of courage!

Do we have enough people to take on the Spartans?
Historically, we ought to outnumber them by 100 to 1 whereas it's more like the other way round! Still, it only takes two to tango.
"The race is not always to the swift - nor the battle to the strong."

Perhaps we should challenge them to a vote chess game.

There are only 70 of them. (There are also Team Matches. Anyone know anything about those?)
rhoskins + artfizz + ???

A group administrator can challenge another group, and each member who joins the mach is paired up with an opponent of similar rating. The teams who gets more points wins. We might need more members for that.
