Hello Wigan Chess Eight of us signed up for our first match against another club. That’s an excellent turnout for our first outing. But, our opponents (momolanders) have only put forward two players for their team so far. I don’t expect to increase this by many. I am on a learning curve for setting up matches. So, I have set up a new match against New Metropol, starting Friday next week. They look like they will put forward a full team to give us a decent match. Each player plays two rated games at a maximum of 3 days per move. So, if you fancy taking part please go to the Wigan club page in chess.com and sign up to the new match. As always, it doesn’t matter if we win or lose, just have a go. All the best John

Hello everyone. After messaging Tom, I am thinking about setting up a match against another club. It will be our first match. I am not too bothered whether we win or lose but it would be good to have a go. You will have a maximum of three days per move. You will play two games against your opponent on the other team as white and black. If there is interest I will set up a match to start next week and let you know how to join the match.
