Let's play Live Blitz Chess at the time control 10+7. The clock has 10 minutes for the game plus 7 seconds added for each move completed. This group is focused on 10+7 but other equivalent time controls exist. The spectrum of equivalent time controls includes 2+19 and 4+16 and 6+13 and 8+10 and 10+7 and 12+4 and 14+1. While I consider 10+7 to be the most reasonably balanced, they all measure up to the same amount of time over the course of 40 moves. When you multiply it out, it multiplies to 880 seconds or 14:40 for each player. This amounts to 22 seconds per move. This is the largest amount of time allowed for a Blitz game. Blitz on!
