The temptation is to reply as soon as a move comes in, instead of using the time available. I find I do better in club matches, where I'm not just playing for myself, and so play more responsibly. But otherwise I just like to keep things ticking over quickly, and hence am more prone to blundering. But then again, I'm well capable of blundering in any situation.

Ha Ha Ha, ...."oops my queen"....that is well written.....:) it is important to leave time for every move....I always have betwenn 40 and 50 games running. You can play at any time of the day. Once i had 75, that was too much and the game became stressful....If you have a lot of games, then tune with 3 days to think about it makes sense, which i thought was much too long at the beginning.....

20 seems to be about the sweet spot for me. Otherwise, yes I play too quickly as well to try and clear the queue and oops my queen!

I am learning very quickly that I do not play nearly as well with 30 plus games going!

I find people with ridiculous numbers of games on the go at any one time, over 500 in some cases. It's no wonder that they get lots of time outs. I find it a struggle to keep up if I have more than 40 at any one time.

Important Information... I will be performing a Ladder cleanup in the next 48 hours... players who have been inactive for more than 50 days (or have not been on chess.com for more then 30 days) will be removed from their position and placed in an unseen, reserve area at the bottom of the ladder. They can rejoin the ladder starting from last position if they indicate their interest in participating again. If you are one of these people and wish to remain on the ladder please let me know ASAP. ...

@leekaiser launched the Groovy Gang's first-ever Chess 960 Ladder. Same rules as the normal Ladder, except the games are Chess 960 format. If you're bored with the same predictable openings or if you just want to try out something else, you'll enjoy the variant of chess, invented by the late chess champion, Bobby Fisher, which is why it is also called Fischer Random Chess. If you're interested to compete on the Chess 960 Ladder, post your interest here: https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/vi...
