I learned the game as a kid but didn't start playing a lot until my mid-twenties. I enjoy the mental workout it gives and the simple challenge of trying to beat people who are quite likely smarter than I am. I've bought a time clock and dream about joining a chess club, taking lessons or playing competitively. But for now I just hang out here. I've spent most of my time so far in playing the online games, with a day or three to make each move.
