Custom Chess board size?

This thread would be a good place to start reading.
If your aim is to create something travel friendly, the maximum usefull size depends how the chessboard folds (eg box type, wooden roll-up, ...) and the amount of room you expect to have at location. Over here, a lot of the older foldable box type boards didn't exceed 1.57" field size (40 mm)

If it's not tournament size nothing else is standard and can vary. Just saying library size doesn't imply any type of square size.
The World Chess Studio board is 45mm squares with a very thin border. There is a review posted on chess.com of the folding board and the person even touts it fits into their backpack. Though it's not actually marketed as a travel board... there are still tote bags designed for it (and the non folding board as well). I like that it makes storing it easier.
The Chessnut Air/Air+ is even smaller with 35mm squares. Chavet size 0 or 1 chess pieces are perfect for this sized square
I have not seen a wooden board smaller than this. Perhaps I've seen some very tiny board but the pieces used a peg to keep them on the board.
Just for fun, I started to design pieces based on popular and historic designs but for a a 45mm square. I might now do this for 35mm squares as well.
I'm a design student, I like to make custom Wooden games and have made a few "modern" games out of wood and now I want to go back to basics and make a custom Chess Board.
I'm trying to make something kinda unique with certain mechanisms and trying to make it "travel friendly" and such, so there's a lot going on under the hood but the top part would be a basic board
With that said, I'm working out dimentions for both the board and the pieces, I started with tournment size and it turned out to be way too large, it's getting hard to search for different standards that don't lead back to the Chess.com forums, so I might as well ask away.
What are the standard sizes(plural) for boards for different situations? so far I found tournment size, library size, pocket size and coffee table size, some might be made up but I'm going off of very little research so far
