Help ! Board size and style with Arabian Knight from chess bazaar

Greetings fellow chess players! 

I have my sights set on the Arabian knight chess pieces from chess bazaar. Unfortunately, I dislike their chessboard colors and therefore I am planning on buying a separate board from House of Staunton. This will be my first chess set and I do NOT want to mess this up. I need help with the sizing of the board and the color scheme. 

I decided to buy the Arabian Knight pieces in ebony and boxwood (lacquered) with the elm burl and maple superior board from house of Staunton. What do you think about the color scheme but most importantly the sizing?  I’ll leave some pictures and de measures down bellow.

Hey I noticed this is kind of old, but did you ever get this set? I’ve been eyeing the Arabian Knight set myself and was curious how the board and piece combo came out!

Given the base of the king, I think that combination is acceptable. You might be able to get away with a smaller 2.25" board too.

I own that board....Hard to believe you wouldn't be thrilled to own it as a compliment to such a classy set. Good luck.
