Regardless of the outcome of the Rapid TBs, Magnus was a genius for realizing that he had better odds at winning in the Rapid and Speed Chess TBs that he had no real reason to play the game out further and risk blundering. Not only that, he knew Caruana would take a draw because (Caruana) knew his position was not the greatest. If Magnus wins the Rapid later today, he 100% deserves it. If Caruana wins, Magnus is still a genius for tipping the odds in his favor regardless of the outcome of Game 12.
