I just found out from the U.S.C.F. website that today, in America, is National Chess Day and are 23 "official" events going on today here in the U.S. and I am doing my own celebrating as well.
Besides spending time on the forums, I'm also watching the Bilbao Final Stage games live at this site address: http://www.bilbaofinalmasters.com/2010/en/retransmision/
I haven't decided yet on if I am going to provide coverage of this event or not like I did the Olympiad, but will probably post the games when they are all done in the "Chess News and Buzz" forum. In a country where chess is not top dog and chess players are looked at as eccentrics, this day gives me and all American chess players hope of turning those tables around and making chess part of the mainstream.
