The word "troll" has different meanings depending on the context:

1. Internet Slang (Most Common Usage)
A troll is someone who deliberately provokes or upsets people online by posting inflammatory, off-topic, or misleading comments in forums, social media, or chat rooms. Their goal is usually to get a strong reaction, cause arguments, or disrupt discussions.

2. Mythology & Folklore
A troll is a mythical creature from Scandinavian folklore. They are often depicted as large, ugly, and sometimes dangerous beings that live in caves, mountains, or under bridges. Some stories also describe them as small, mischievous creatures.

3. Fishing Term
In fishing, trolling is a technique where a boat slowly drags baited lines through the water to attract fish.

4. Music
In classical music, trolling refers to singing in a rolling or repetitive manner.

Would you like me to focus on a specific meaning?

it' not trolling if you're asking others what you think about trolling. The only troll here is you downvoting my posts.

what you were doing prior could be considered trolling based on what you said or did. its all on the perspective of the individual

yes, but doesn't excuse the excess downvotes

SacrifycedStoat
Spamming the save post over and over (like chomper did) is not required to be a troll, they could just post a bunch of different yet bad “ideas” (like veryverystern) and still be a troll.
