There was one game recently I was trying to move my knight out if check but saw it was checkmate

I am not really proud of these moments, where I make a move that was not my real intention, however it has happened to me, so why not share it with others if they might find it useful in their quest of doing chess.
Now the fun part, I was in no time trouble, yet my respect for my opponent and my dulled brain played tricks with my mind, so I mated without knowing what I was really undertaking at that time frame.

Don't ask how i managed to miss the fact that the queen was hanging for like 10 moves. I also forgot en passant exsisted on move 16.

Stunning. I have dropped down from 2201 to a staggering 1800's, my mind is in such a bad place and I was not even aware of THIS mate!
From lichess. On doing the game analysis I was surprised to see the obvious mate in 1 that could have resulted if my opponent hadn't resigned
