Unless I'm mistaken, the real achievement, shown above, doesn't include pawns. My guess is that people are referring to one that does include the pawns (hence this myth), but such an achievement does not exist. "Peaceful Victory" was made up for a (presumably clickbait) YouTube video and, of course, some people mistakenly thought it was real, and the rest is history.

Peaceful Victory is real, the requirements are different. This badge is for not losing any pieces, Peaceful Victory is not having any pieces off the board (no captures from you or your opponent)
