Only crybabies knows how to block
Don't block people for minor reasons

My apologies for necro thread bumping. It was an issue I have been dealing with now.
Shame to lose you as a potential opponent esherehshe.
And Chuck639, sure I trash talk sometimes, and almost always wish I hadn't later. That to the side, are we making a safe place for most chess players here (not wilting dandelions, but normal folk) or are we asking people to armour up? I would prefer that we all work together targetting the first group. Both for the people involved, and the good of the sport.
Nah, I was just joking. Even I occasionally bump old threads. It's okay...
Where does the OP get the idea that Blocking someone "is serious" or makes them "disappear from view forever"...???...neither assertion is true...

Blocking someone should indeed be reserved for cases where there's a significant disruption or violation of community guidelines.

Blocking someone on a chess website is the opposite of serious. In fact, in Webster's 5th edition, under "serious". It says ..."The opposite of blocking someone on a chess website"

It was a different time. 12 years back. Forums were a big thing then.

Blocking a member is extremely serious. If that does happen and you block someone for an extremely minor reason, then STOP! If you block someone that person will be lost from view forever at chess.com and who knows if he/she is actually a nice and helpful member.
Only block people who are seriously rude or mean.
bro got 11 downvotes for this
I change the word every Tuesday so no one can figure out the pattern.
