Don't give up! Play to play, not to win!!

Don't give up quite yet, you still can improve. Read more books, and really focus on it. Do more tactics and play more slow games too. Try to make the goal when playing games "no blundering" instead of the goal of trying to win. This way with less blunders, than that will result in more wins.

Unless you're going for titles it's about having fun. I agree that if you're not having fun then try a variant or something.

"...but without calulation everything's worthless."

Many grandmasters have been quoted as saying they usually only see 2-3 moves ahead. That's because they recognize patterns.  PATTERN RECOGNITION is a big deal.  I also have my limits in calculating and memorizing the tactical and positional motifs here and at chesstempo.com helps me.

yah calculating has helped me too. Without it I would probably never win a game.

For the most part I agree, but for some endgames and certain lines you have to be able to calculate. Especially knowing how to visualise the situation after a lot of trades or who queens first and so on. But for the most part pattern recognition is king.

but I do that, and much more, nothing's working I don't even know if I can get to 2,000 USCF at this rate, im 1750 now.

2000 USCF would put you in the 90th percentile among all rated players. Quit crying!

There is a lot of good advice here, I wanted to add one thing to it. You might want to take a break from blitz, it causes a lot of bad habits. Try rapid for a while, (idk a month? I was told this by a lot of good players), it helps me anyways.

Try chess variant. I played 3-check chess and 4 player chess, it's pretty fun...

it may be fun but how's it gonna help my calulation.

Help Calculate?

Sometimes I calculate 2 moves on a good day.

Otherwise it’s about intuition and feel.

One move at a time. But then I’ve been doing this longer than most. Nothing better than experience.
Evaluate the position and decide on a move.

Come hades or high water !

I've been losing on time more and more lately, the lag on this website is  awful.

Please do something, I may not quit chess but I'll quit this website.Â
