Impatient opponent

It's been a while since I encountered one of these impatient folk in daily chess. The last one who messaged me in this fashion was banned for cheating shortly after 😆 I would message back that you will move when you are ready and that he can do the same. Then disable the chat.

If you follow some of these suggestions then the person you are playing is controlling you. Simply continue to make moves as and when you want.

Makes sense

Lol serves him right....He was probably using engine and desperately trying to grab more and more rating points quickly

Messing about will just lower your time per move, potentially effecting your ability to play in events such as tournaments.

I agree absolutely, Optimissed. Make your move when you would normally. Someone's bad behavior is a reflection on them, not you. I've heard a saying that the best revenge is to go on and lead a good life. In this case, ignore him, disable chat, and don't play him again.

I'm currently playing a game in a losing position, but I'm learning so much from my opponent on endgame strategy, and simply sent a message asking if he'd mind me taking time and not resigning yet. He's classy and said to take my time. It's fascinating watching how he tightens the net. Sure, I'll lose, but look at everything I get to learn from Enroque.
