But yes they do, when they want to forbid stronger players to claim their opinions on chess things has more value than the opinion of some online patzer, and claim who worked hard should pretend to have the same value than those who did nothing all day long, yes it's a tyrany.

Well yes I have to agree on this

It’s the so called “ smarter “ players that are always whining about weaker players , and not the other way around. These egotistical twits have nothing else in their lives than their “ ratings “ .......just a pathetic bunch of nobody’s

You say that because u can't achieve a good rating

Totally agree with you, this website needs to improve on this cause it really been a 'threat' to users who does not want to involve in any arguments

the people are fools,由 need to find some people that can make your heart are free and relax,You should talk with people you want to be with, and you will have a consensus that this is the solution to human problems

I think we first need to make a distinction between higher rated players who are actually toxic , and those who are not toxic and just politely telling the lower rated peep that he is wrong .

You got people like Jason Repa who keep creating new accounts just to troll and demoralize others .

We also have lower rated kids who would play the victim card if anybody dares to disagree with his opinion .

Toxicity has its place. It's sad that people are still trying to argue with labels. There are lots of uses for toxic substances, we shouldn't dismiss an opinion or view just because it is toxic.

I post MY retarded opinions all the time.

Carry on whining ! ..... less knowledgeable people still have the right to post what ever they want, without having put up with egotistical rhetoric from the pathetic nobs with their egos .

Who said they can't ? But if you can call a knowledgeable person's opinion toxic , they can call your opinions retarted. Simple

Anonymous_Dragon

Eh I make so many grammatical mistakes

Yes, you !

It might break up this clear attempt to have a bizarre unreal intellectual chat

OK, I'll just rant a little.

Let's talk bananas.

Bananas are very mildly radioactive. Very, VERY mildly. It's because bananas are high in Potassium, and all Potassium naturally contains a little bit of Potassium-40, a radioactive isotope.

Of course, the level of radioactivity that we're talking about is miniscule, and entirely harmless.

In the western world... in Canada, for example... nuclear reactors are so tightly regulated that their on-site emissions must be lower than seven bananas per day.

chyss

That's a superb measure of emissions!

So, in bananas, how toxic is the most toxic post?

The amount of sheer toxicity in these forums rivals any other game I've ever played online. People use their rating like some kind of social credit system, interjecting every opportunity they get to flaunt it.

I haven't seen ratings thrown around too much, but I generally agree on the toxicity. Someone flat out said stop playing chess, because I was annoyed at something. I don't think it's specific to here, though. Have you tried chatting anywhere? The internet and world are getting more toxic and hateful every day.

Actually radishes are moderately high in Potassium (and therefore moderately radioactive, as food goes). Dried oriental radishes are over 3% Potassium.

Avocados, watermelon and beans are also high in Potassium. Don't know how that mix would taste, though.

Potassium is good for a healthy blood pressure !

Yes, but what can I take to get an unhealthy one ?

Take two games of chess in the morning. That'll fix you.

SharpCube

In the early 2000´s when chess engines weren´t that strong and chess knowledge was not as easy obtainable as these days even strong (titled) players wrote in chess forums to discuss new opening ideas and stuff like that. These days everyone can check his own ideas with Stockfish, so there is no need for this anymore. That means that there is really not that much substantial to discuss and you either 1. have a pretty inactive forum (like chesspub) or 2. a forum full of Off-topic discussions with a lot of spam.
You might say that every post written in this forum is lost within 2 hours as new posts are incoming frequently which also discourages players to put in some effort when posting something.

MoveNotToMove

It's the game itself. Don't you see the most famous and rated players in the world how despise the other players? All the videos on youtube of gm's posting their games against newbies and mocking them?
