I like it but got it cheap on Black Friday sale for about 60€ for a year. It was 50% discount on top of the discount for a year. Hope I can get it this way again next year.

I like it. If you play a lot, then it's worth it. It really just comes down to the person. Every so often, it will be marked down (50%) would recommend keeping an eye on the price and scooping it up when it's on sale.

What are looking for in the membership?

Given the amount of PCB use ... (which is way....... more than what Chess.com or LiChess or any other internet chess site... wants you to know) The rating systems on the internet can't be verified.

*PCB =printed circuit board*

If you are looking at a membership as a tool to get better... then yes.

Purchasing a membership with the notion you will make elo of 2000 + NO.... your setting yourself up for failure... Sadly, I think so many do this... and when they realize the hard work evolved, that you really have to have some inherent natural born skill to break into the mastery levels... they resort to PCB use (Seriously... what is the average age of a player on a site like this ... e.g. between 15-20yrs old... We don't live in an age of ethics or morals anymore... thinking because of Covid, Chess all of a sudden became this huge popular sport/hobby and thus thinking 2000+ elo players grow on trees... IS NOTHING BUT PURE LOGICAL FALACY ... more like..... there is a computer in every home and a 15-20yr old with no filters willing to use it.

Take out a membership for the love of the game, take out a membership with the idea to use the tools provided to improve your OTB play...

Do not take out a membership because you want an internet rating 2000+

I would love a week to try a diamond membership and see its value to me, I cant spend money on it tho, not unless it. Changes my games and I'm skeptical

Avatar of iwintrust

If you really care about puzzles or lessons then yes.I personally find it unnecessary tho because i only play a bit

Buy diamond. Use the free trial, but cancel before the trial ends. For the holidays, you can use that 1 month of free premium.
