Hi sis. I noticed that you get very defensive, very easy, with 2 members in particular, no naming and shaming though.
Both of these members that I'm thinking of, I have seemingly befriended.
The answer is quite simple, really. You take "insults" as compliments. And you thank them for saying such things to you. They can, if they choose to, tell you that the compliment was meatn to be insulting, but then you can just view the whole thing totally different.
The key here is to use your chess.com avatar for leverage, like me, I'm a cartoon woman of some sorts, so, as Popeye once said, "I yam what I yam and that's what I yam!!"
and then, POOF!!! Community is a better place.
Don't change the hearts of the people that trespass against you. You couldn't if you wanted to, anyway. Just change how you view their comments and your chess.com experience will be much better for you

Of course!!! I know that there are many people that don't like me, but I don't let that bother me. I can just have a couple shots of the hard stuff and I'm feeling fine!!!
You shouldn't be trying to please anyone. I think that whenever you say whatever comes to your mind, other members may view it as offensive.
I work in a retail store. Many customers have no idea what they want to buy. It's not polite for me to just drop the "F" bomb on them and insult their intelligence, because of what I think? Especially since I don't even know these people? Sometimes It's not reasonable at all to "say what's on your mind." I have a strong belief, that this is what you are doing to stir the pot with other chess.com members.
Always be respectful. I believe everyone should be respected. Look at (this member) and (that member) for example. One lives in England, the other, France. Do you know how far away those places are? Being, that, you don't know who these people are in reality, so, in truth, you have no idea who you're talking to. The same can be said about them. These very same members, could actually walk into the store I work in, have no idea what to buy, they spend 20 or 30 minutes in the store, and It's not very reasonable at all for me to get defensive and shouting the no good at them.
Shruti, my dear sister, these same members I have seemingly befriended. I know one of them has a very dry sense of humor, you just need to reply with respectful, witty and sometimes sarcastic responses. I even played a game with that member, I just need to ask for their permission before I post it, I'm thinking of doing so to poke fun at my mistakes
This is chess.com, just come in and have fun!! Try to get a laugh in or too, and a drink, it will help you feel better.

OK, I think the best thing to do right now is to open a group chat with all of those people and work this out peacefully.

Actually that did happen earlier, and that too plenty of times.Things have subsidised substantially now.
They have been more kind and well intentioned to end this agreement than ever before, as far as I've see.
Ah OK, maybe I missed that. I felt like things were still unresolved in the end, but if it's already been worked out then that's great!
I think we can all benefit from each other so much, especially since we are so active here.
Maybe we should create a club to commemorate our new found solidarity.
Well, currently it doesn't appear everything has worked out yet. Everything's still kinda stuck in the limbo. And it's definitely too early to make a commemorative club about it.
I'm sure everyone will be chuffed if they can find a common ground, or if anything like that were to happen. This thing has been going on for too long.
For the time being, I'm gonna bury some food in my mouth. Have a great weekend ahead.
Yeah I am positive that they'll be able to find common ground, that's the only thing that matters now.
I like the club idea though, that way we'll have something tangible to remind everybody that we are a union and can achieve more together than separated.
