Sorry to be the guy who points out the obvious - Self-appointing oneself as the "Best Forum Posters" is always going to come off as arrogant, and since there's no objective standard (nor can there be), will always be elitist in some way, shape, or form.

I know that @Colby-Covington is truly and honestly trying to promote a friendlier forum atmosphere, and I don't question his intentions in that respect, but as I've told him before, good, constructive conversations can't begin with insults, and it can't involve excluding people, either.

The only way to really stop the cycle of trolling is to settle down and think about how the broader audience is likely to feel by reading the exchange of comments.  If one side stays calm while the other side is being dumb/childish/offensive, only the troll loses by that.

I think that's a major problem with a lot of people, seeing as most of them do not bother to actually read our message and introduction, but simply form their own conclusions based on the name of our movement and nothing else.

We are not called the best forum posters, nor have we ever. The name, while intentionally slightly provocative, should obviously not be the only basis on which an opinion of our entire movement is founded. Of course you have to draw people's attention first, before you can present to them the message you are trying to send, in order to reach as many people as possible. However, one needs to actually read what our message is, before one passes judgment solely predicated upon personal and emotional reasons.

Also, it is only a very specific, small group who consistently leads with such insults, creates/substantiates these topics specifically targeting me personally yet offering nothing to support an actual argument or criticism and generally seeks a negative outcome to any constructive discussion.

Unsurprisingly, those are also the people who have been blocked. What other choice do I have, but to protect our members from such behavior?

If their only motivation for these personal assaults is the fact that they have been blocked, and the reason why they were blocked is the fact that they consistently attack others personally, then I hope you see who has to break the cycle and why.

The onus is not on us to include them, but only on themselves to prove that they can participate constructively and maturely.

OK, I can understand the purpose of being provocative with the Club title, but given that it's likely to get at least a marginally negative reaction from folks who aren't in "The Forum Elite", it's important to be ready to calm them down, which means it naturally follows that you can't lose your cool, either.

Given that there is a "very specific, small group who consistently leads with such insults" (which I believe is likely to be true), how do you best foil them?  How do we underscore the fact that they are ill-informed, childish, and/or outright wrong?  How else can we convince the casual reader of the forum thread that we are correct to be civil, except by being civil even when others are not?

What you are trying to do is to make the forums more inviting for all, are you not?  Trolls will run out of steam very quickly if you come back with calm, rational responses.  When they resort to name calling, try to remember that "Ridicule is the first and last argument of a fool".  Every time you counter a purposely hurtful comment with a well-reasoned and constructive answer, that troll will feel dumber, and everyone else will see the correctness of both your opinion and the manner in which it is expressed.

To put it more simply, the downside of thinking one is better than someone else is that occasionally the situation will require you to act like it.

Seriously, why bother reporting them?  Comments like this can be safely ignored.  You only dignify it by responding to the provocation.

I don't know how familiar you are with the whole matter and our desperate attempts to unite the community, especially this small subset of individuals who seem only to seek negativity and unease, in an attempt to truly set an example of kindness and forgiveness, but all of these attempts have unfortunately been in vain.

The majority of them was previously unblocked, while an attempt was made to reach out and make peace, as that screenshot of my private messages with @autobunny clearly shows. Only after having failed multiple times and witnessing their true intentions first hand, which were reflected in their support of topics created by renowned trolls with the only purpose of defaming very specific people and damaging their reputation, was I forced to block them once again.

The unrelenting hate and subsequent trolling came only as a result of being blocked, as 99% of the people who actively jump on the opportunity to support one of these assault piece topics, are also currently being blocked.

Hence, we have no way of controlling their actions and choice to disguise their frustrations of being blocked with unsubstantiated grievances about the club or the message that it sends.

We tried, we really did, but in the end it seems that these individuals simply aren't interested in finding a peaceful solution, but rather choose to continue spreading negativity with "like minded people" who in reality were blocked for the exact same reason they were, but instead of facing that reality they probably find it simpler to pretend that their actual problem is the club, when it is really themselves.
