The big shot that started this contest is real responsible isn't he ? Eleven days after the voting was supposed to be finished and we still haven't seen anything from him here on the subject.

In fairness - he started this about a year ago right ?
people aren't paid to do this ...
so - my take on it is that he did a service by getting the thing started.
A plus.
In any vote I make - how do I leave out @Nightly-Knight (obvious talent) or @blackfirestorm (Donna) (experience/knowledge and helpfulness and Honesty   ...   ?? )
(some of the high-profile superadmins on the site are intensely dishonest with their members.  The really bad thing is that they continue to get away with dishonesty and favoritism and protection)
Examples of awful superadmin work:
'We can't agree on what is spam'  (to favor the very worst spammers in notes of a club)
'Hey - take it easy on this member - he's Half of our activity !'
(A gigantic blunder - not recognizing that if that member became more exposed and run out of the club - new and much better activity would replace him !   - the member's intense lying was blatantly exposed - and so cowardly that he quit on his own)

This list of awful superadmin behaviours is Huge ...    happy.png
(maybe that's why they're not voted for here - no matter how many 'minions and shills and dupes' they have behind them)

In some cases - is that the main motivation for becoming an admin/superadmin/owner ?  Getting to make 'Power Plays' ?
Yes.  But then we get:
'Nobody is forced to be in any club' ...
the situation gets worse when the power-hungry people infiltrate into official clubs ...  and worse still when they have a 'moderator' backing them up.

Why mention the above ?
At least two reasons:
1)  the best admins are among those who Don't do such Power Plays.
2)  all other admin work in a club is rendered moot or superficial when there's a rogue admin/superadmin doing 'operations' to undermine everything.

Isn't it great that there are admins/superadmins/owners who prevent rogue behaviours on their teams ?

He started the contest in March of last year which was ridiculous. He shouldn't have accepted votes until at least December and probably not until the last week of the year. As for not being paid to do it, you act as if he was doing us a favor - he wasn't. He just started this contest to get attention and that wouldn't be so bad if he actually would finish it by counting up the votes and announcing the winner.

I repeat -
the original poster provided a service by making this forum and also by attending to it for a while.
His way.  He should do it somebody else's way ?
Those who don't like it - could make their own forum ...  an option.
Maybe that's why he doesn't show up ...  to get trashed in his own thread?
Maybe he's busy.  What's the 'responsibility' ?
To be defined by somebody else ?

Many people are unwilling to block ... its an unfortunate 'ethos' that has a big following on the website.
And maybe that's one of the reasons nobody has made a comparable forum.  Unwillingness to block those who would disrupt it.
The topic appears to address 'best admins'.  Not the original poster.

May I be on the list?

I'm not volunteering for this but somebody with minimal excel skills could enter the posts in a spreadsheet with:

Column A:  person posting

Column B:  nominee

Column C:  post number

Remove any post greater than #565

Sort by column A and then column C and remove all but the last post for each person posting

Sort by column B and count up the votes per nominee.

Its hard to have objective criteria to determine 'best admin'.
Its a very subjective thing.
But this forum could still be used - to discuss what makes a better admin and what defines a rogue admin.
'Rogues' thrive in social media platforms on the internet.
And they will look for power.  Any way they can get it.
