Just reached 1000. I know its not that high, but i am on free membership and only get 3 puzzles a day.

What puzzle rating is impressive?

Puzzles rating is inflated to game ratings by a few hundred points, so an "impressive" puzzles rating would be relative to their game ratings. If you are rated 1000 chess.com rapid rating, then maybe 1500+ puzzles rating would be impressive. If you are rated 1500 chess.com rapid rating, then maybe 2000+ puzzles rating would be impressive.

I'm simplifying of course, but the idea is that what is "impressive" to one person might be just "meh" to another person. That is why it is important to not compare yourself to others; compare your ratings to your past ratings and celebrate all the little milestones on your chess journey! happy.png

otb rating matters @KeSetoKaiba

When did I say it did, or didn't?

OTB rating "matters" more than online ratings to most people, but even OTB ratings don't really "matter" as much as sometimes we feel like they do.

I’m very close to 2800 so will persist until I get there but doubt I’ll get much higher solving just 3 a day. I swear there was one recently where my move would mate in 3 with a sac but it was incorrect because there was a mate in 2. 🤦
