The Feedback category is mainly for giving feedback to the site about site features, reporting bugs, posting suggestions, etc.

There is no way to tell from what I know due to people reviving old threads. I wish there was a way to keep old threads preserved.

I mean, you can just go to each of the 24 main forums and click 'Last' on the top right to go to the last page. Then you have to go back some pages to find anything.

Yeah, but the oldest forum has probably been revived many times. And we don’t know the exact date, so it’s impossible to find the real oldest.

I posted the first surviving forum topic in General Discussion a while back in another topic. At the time it hadn't been revived, but I'm sure someone has by now.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. When I say forum, I mean 'General Chess Discussion', 'Chess.com Community', etc., not individual threads. Doing what I said, one can easily find posts from e.g., June 2007 from a quick look. The site was made in May 2007 as a reference.

It's impossible to know for sure but does it matter?
You can be sure a forum was made not long after the site was made, so back in like mid 2007 i think.

I guess one of the older staff members could see this post and give us a link but it doesn't really matter. You'll just go and bump it with useless content.

That is the oldest forum thread I could find (5/8/2007).

I'm not sure if that's really the oldest one, but there's not much to go through, so...

Oh, I see. Looks like people have been bumping it in 2021 as well.

It's got to be that one then. I can't see any other older threads. There are hardly 10 threads in the oldest snapshot the WB machine has captured.
