Why Do I Keep Finding More People Cursing And Being Rude?

I've seen this problem on another forum before. Basically it goes like this; The bigger the community, the more toxic it will get. For example; let's say 5 out of 100 people are toxic. If there are 500 players, that's 25 toxic people. Quite a lot right? I hope you get my point. Have a good day :-)

its just that society as a whole has become more loose with their language

If you see a lot of that happening you can contact any Moderator or staff member. We can send them a personal message to try and resolve the problems. There is not a lot of us so lots of things slip though but if you let someone know we will handle the situation in the best interest of the members and the site. SO please notify someone or even send me a personal message I will do my best to handle so the members understand our Terms of Service (Link at bottom of most pages). If they refuse to behave then we will forward up the ladder to make a decision on how to best handle the issues involved. Thanks for reporting.

BTW cottonkandy that is the reason the site does not want that type of issues going around. This is a family site and management has always felt we need to keep the site in a friendly way and to be courteous to Parents and Kids by not subjecting them to that type of atmosphere while here to enjoy chess.

That may be true but they can be taught not to use that language while logged into this site. This would be a good time to teach some of them when some things can be done and when they can't. This is a site where we should be tolerant of other members and curse words almost never improve a situation. We want to have all members feel good about playing Chess here. We don't believe in punishing members but don't make the mistake that you can continue to be abusive.

before covid was a whole different thing, its out of context hudgely

Because they are little and frankly, kinda dumb. They don't know how to control their impulses.

If you're 14, you should be able to control yourself.

I've found that most middle schoolers cuss to fill in the severe gap of quality in their vocabulary.
