Chess.com V3: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

I have been using V3 for a few days now and am getting used to the new layout and the new format. I would like to take a few moments to say what I love and what I hate about it.

The Good

I find the interface to be more modern and more current than the old chess.com. I also find the navigation bar easier to use and far less cluttered. I like how groups were changed to clubs and how everything is neat and organized.

The Bad

One thing I saw about the new version is how long it took for themes to load. I tried out different themes (I'm now using the space theme) and it took the site a bit too long to load the new theme.

I also noticed that there is no clear link to playing chess. It took me a couple of times to try and figure out how to send a challenge, view open challenges, and accept challenges in this new version. When the new live chess comes out, I do hope there is a clear link in the navigation bar.

The Ugly

I hate how the new live chess is going to be without a main hall. I always enjoyed lurking in the main hall and reading comments and chats. I also have made a few friends in the main hall.

One thing I'd change in the live chess clubs is to clearly mark the admins in the room.

Be well,

Dovid

Addendum

I have also yet to figure out how to send a friend request on this new version of chess.com - or is that a feature that will be disabled? I certainly hope not.
