Do you like the board?
Absolutely marvelous chess board ! What wood has been used ?
Hey @ESP-198 - I like the board! It reminds me of one that I have! The first photo is a screenshot from the video and then my board. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the wood. The second-hand board came with pieces - the pieces I sold, the board, I kept!

Mine may have too much grain for your liking but they look similar!👍
PS - having watch the video - that board has a fine black border line between the frame and the chess board; a lovely little detail, that mine lacks.
The board in the video with the black inner border line looks to me like a DGT veneered board (produced by Rechapados Ferrer). I didn't watch long enough to detect any cables, but it might be either electronic or non-electronic.

I've got one and love it (I'm a big fan of Rechapados Ferrer boards, in general). There is definitely grain, though, as pretty much any wood board would (should) have, veneered or otherwise. So if that's not your thing you might want to double-check ... the low video quality probably masks some a lot of it. Good luck, either way.
I agree. It looks like a DGT. I think it is a non-e because it is thinner than the e-boards. I love DGT boards. I always wanted one but just have not gone around to getting a non-e board.
@lotsoblots I only posted in 4 relevant places, not spam. I don't really care. Our goal is to communicate with people, not money. receive comments.
Yeah, good eye on the thickness difference, @MCH818. I think you're right.
Thanks! I think it was one of @BananaMoon’s post where he had a non-e version. What always caught my eye was how thin it was. I never realized it until someone mentioned DGT non-e boards were thinner.

I think the board from a video is veneered and yours looks like solid wood. BUT colour wise is almost or actually identical very beautiful colour indeed.
What type of wood is this, that looks absolutely marvelous, I'm pretty sure it's not walnut and maple , which would look much lighter.
Very beautiful board I'm jealous! Do you know who sells them?

What would do you think been used? You said you got one, can you post one in here please , can you elaborate more about grain , what do you mean exactly?

Do you have a link so we can see , I'm curious and interested at the same time.
Our local shop only sells one variation of non electronic dgt board , which is walnut and maple and cost $80 USD it says made in Spain .
BUT I think it's ugly compare to above post type of wood pictures of a chess board.
Here are some picture from what my local shop sells and how it looks.

Do you think it looks ugly? What about price $80 USD good or bad?

Here is one of his chess sets on it... https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/dgt-non-electronic-chess-set
RPF makes a thin border version of this board but it is not sold under the DGT brand.
Is it veneered or wooden board?
What combination of wood this is?
I really like the colour, good for practical play and also you don't see vertical grains all over the board which is annoying or the circle ones like on mtm boards end grain patters which is annoying and distracting for playing . This one is just perfect .
Do they still sell those? Who did in the first place?
