Any US chess set makers out there?

I don't know of any current U.S. makers. The most famous vintage makers were Drueke, Horn, and American Chess Company. There are a few others, most prominently making mass produced plastic sets.
If you are looking for contemporary sets that are not of the Indian flavor, Brazil's Dirk Dagobert's Braganca and Amazonia are among my favorites.

Not on a commercial level. Most US-based chess piece makers nowadays are hobbyists. If you browse around woodworker forums, I'm sure you'll bump into a few. I would put most of them more in the "folk art" category. Jim Arnold, based in Illinois, comes to mind.
Pawnerai - Yes a big shout out to Jim Arnold, his work is amazing. He's been a big help to me in promoting Falling Leaf Chess.
CringeBlunderman (love your ID) - Thanks for the reference to Coloradowoodworker. He's done some amazing boards. I also found ThreeTreesWorkshop on Etsy. Looks like they have some nice stuff.
