anybody read the slav by graham burgess

wondering if I should purchase this book. I need a good slav. Could use your opinion.

Have you tried Starting Out: The Slav and Semi-Slav?  I have it and have found it to be a great introduction. I don't know if it would be too basic for you or not, as for just a Slav book, a book by Burgess is bound to be good.

Is this the same Burgess that wrote the Mammoth Book of Chess?

Yes it is the same book never read it though but it is mammoth and voted book of the year. The starting out series are good but I have some knowledge of the slav lines just making too many key errors early.
