Abandonment timeout now ludicrously fast
You used 1:30 on your 9th move in a 3 2 game.

The rule is that if you use fully half of the base time for the time control on one single move, you are considered to have abandoned the game.
It's happened to me on the app - I saw a WhatsApp message and went to read it, came back a few seconds later to discover I had abandoned my game... Bit of a drag, as I was in a good position. On a computer it's OK, because you can keep tabs open and switch from one to another. But not on the app on a phone, so it seems
i get calls to. my phone during games and get disconnected for zero reasons as well, these are hackers with multiple fake friends on multiple boards with multiple different time clocks that associate with each game. Beware of game hackers across all platforms. they are not simply just looking to mess with you, they are after your accounts, your passwords, and payment methods. Be vigilant and report them to both chess. com and your lSP/Carrier. Chess should be hassle-free, not dangerous.

Your opponents can't impact your connection. The clients do not connect to each other so they can't get your connection details, even if they wanted to cause problems.
There's a time limit for the first move and you can't use more than half the base time on moves 2 through 10
