Beautiful. I've always loved the raised edge style.

Georgia woodworker Jesse Myers just finished this commissioned chess board last week. I didn't want to steal the buyer's thunder and waited until the buyer posted about it first on Facebook. Not many woodworkers currently do this period style. As you can see it's not the usual 64 squares.
2.125 square. Jaques style reproduction. Solid mahogany and maple. Raised edge. Inlay banding border. Tinted antique finish.
I don't want to speak for him regarding price, but IMO it is affordable and in line with the work involved. Any detail can be changed and discussed since it's made to order. He has a presence on Facebook and Etsy.
