Hello All,

I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend a book that focuses on endgames involving King + 4 or more pawns on both sides. Or if there is an endgame book that has a deep section on this topic.

Thank you

Basic Chess Endings by Reuben Fine has that plus much more.

You might also want to look at Averbakh's "Comprehensive Chess Endings Volume 4", which is entirely about pawn endings. There's also Karsten Müller's "Secrets of Pawn Endings", which is apparently out of print and expensive in book form, though a reasonable $10 on Kindle. Averbakh gives you more high level theory, while Müller's book is a practical guide.

Similarly I would like to ask all participants if any of these books are good general endgame books? So many times I end up in a great position but just cant get the endgame right and screw up. Sometimes even lose.

I'm currently going through John Nunn's 'Understanding Chess Endgames' which I am finding to be a great practical guide for learning the basic endgames types.
