Best Chessmen Ever!
Yes, it looks very good.! Thanks for the pics as well. I would get one if not for the high price. The set is fantastic looking IMO.
Before heading off thought I'd post a link. Next purchase on my list !

I just noticed, looking at the picture above, that it is the white king's knight that ends up on a3 in the Sveshnikov (the king's knight and rooks are maked in the set)!
It looks great. Still I kinda like more the stage 1... who does the southern grip anyway?
Here the link of a store of someone else who frequent this forums, maybe can get a better deal there:

After weeks of wait, I finally received my BCE Stage 2 (DGT-enabled/western) yesterday. Already played a couple of games on ICC and PicoChess with it.
The aesthetics did not surprise me at all as I have seen pictures of the set before purchasing. The workmanship is not surprising because I have high expectations from NOJ -- the teeth of the knight are detailed without detracting from the clean lines of the design, the leather felts are centered, the finish has a classy sheen without being too shiny, etc. NOJ delivered as expected.
What really surprised me is the playability of the set. I did not expect the set to play like a modern Dubrovnik (another set that needs to be played before commenting on it)!!! It may have to do with the wide base, volume, and proportion of the pieces. It is obvious that a lot of thought has been put into how the set PLAYS. To give you an idea, when I first played with my CB Dubrovnik, I instantly appreciated the base of the pawns -- the Dubrovnik made my staunton pawns look and feel anemic. And the knights just beg to be held (I guess because of the relatively flat sides). The BCE stage 2 plays like a Dubrovnik, except in a modern staunton/western design!
