Best Format for Interactive Chess E-books

Hello everyone,

I am looking for the best e-book service on the market. I am looking for something interactive. I do not want a pdf version of the physical book. I want to play through the positions on my iPhone or iPad and learn from the author's notations. What's out there that is worth it? I have seen Chessable. I see Everyman Chess has some kind of product.

What are your suggestions?

Forward Chess for many publishers and Chess Studio for Gambit.

Agree with StevieG65.

Forward’s and Gambit’s apps allow interactive use of their built-in engines, so you can play your own alternative moves anywhere in the middle or at the end of a line given in whatever ebook you are reading. Great for learning.

Everyman’s app has an engine, but does not allow you to play different moves to what is in the ebook you are reading. Everyman’s app does allow you to view pgn files.

ePlusChess does not have an engine. It has some unique titles (for example, Silman’s Endgame Course, Lasker’s Common Sense in Chess, and some older historical books on Morphy and Pillsbury, for instance), and they have some titles by New In Chess that Forward Chess also publishes oddly enough.

Forward chess wants a lot of information which is unneccessary for the use of the program. I don't trust them.

What kind of information are they asking for?
