Bohemia Dog Knight Pieces from '50's or '60's

Ray, I picked the board up with another German set from the thirties or forties from a chess shop in Madrid. The squares are a whisker under 2".

Well, Chuck that is one of my doubts about Bohemia chess set. But  I defend that the set of “all nations”, the original is precisely the set of t 1970 Siegen Olympiad. The set “Dragon or dog Knights” are variations , or what the german called “Schachfigur BOHEMIA spezial”.

Like it or not like, the chicken knight is the trade mark of the beautiful german bohemia set, and for years the set of the "Deutscher Schachbund" German Chess Bundesliga.  I dn’t Know a photo of a german tournament where thr Dragon Knight , or my Knight are used.I think that the Dragon Knight ans surprise… my Two version are some sort of Speziale, or commemorative. The  Non Chicken Knights is in my opinion Bohemia Manufacturer answers to non German players, because for years, the germans in west and east loved this Chicken one Knight and one plastic chess pieces trademark of the German open in plastic, that are copies of the wood ones (yes the loved till today because  in Youth German championship this plastic set is the King of the Sets).

Today Bohemia is gone, and in  Germany tournaments  played with that washed-out and vulgar "German Knight" (Idiotic Name!) That plagued the market at candy prices (coming from India). A pity, and a shame!

and now let's go t my another version...beatiful and close to the chicken knight, but perhaps more "pigeon" Knight!

But for sure I love, I adore "Chicken Knight" , "infamous" or famous, and
and it seems that they also like!

One thing is certain, with Chicken, Dragon-Dog, Pingeon head knights, german These pieces have character, griffe and is practical aspect to the  competition is remarkable. A German chess symbol, and it just was enough.

No, my set is not this! What is here is robbery!
My Set costs 45 euros!
In fact let me tell you that I have recently witnessed authentic treacheries with unbelievable claims prices for ordinary chess pieces or poorly replicated replicas.
Or laziness, or because someone like to be fooled, or throwing money away, sometimes I ask how is possible to pay 200, 300 Euros for chess pieces  that not worth half. And I do not even want to talk about shipping costs.

Believe me or not, I have dozens and dozens of chess sets, and those I paid more than 150 Euros are very rare.  My last Buy in India (38USD!)

I know... But methinks I'm closest. 

How could I forget Griffin???
