no sound

Happening to me on IOS26 Ipad

I have had this issue on and off for more then a year now. I will contact support. The issue will resolve, and then return. Sounds are turned on in the app, and work in every other app, and site. Looking at the dozens of posts, it obviously is not just me. It used to occur in my old phone. I purchased another, and the problem remains. I rely on the sounds to notice when someone has made a move, and low time warnings. The issue is obviously on chess.com servers.

Chess.com are aware. They told me it is a known issue. Still they are doing nothing to fix it. It occurs *everywhere* on the site, including chess.tv. This really throws off my game too. Unless you are playing a ninja, even real game., aren’t completely silent. It feels like you are playing a ghost with no sound. I have now contacted them at least two dozen times, over the past two years. The problem then resolves, only to then return. This is simply unacceptable.

Yes, same. I cannot play when the sound disappears. I have low vision. I lose plenty of games because I am not good at chess, but I am certain to lose with no sound.

It doesn't work for me, only the default sound of the microphone, everything else works normally..

Does anyone know what can be done?
