Do you think the problem you had with your original DGT 2500 is something that may happen to other DGT 2500 (and upgraded DGT NA) clocks or do you think yours was just a one-off defective clock? I really like the DGT 2500 and upgraded version of the DGT NA so I hope this isn't a common problem that will arise with these clocks.
Broken DGT 2500 and Replacement

Hasn't happened to mine, and I got mine around beginning of 2024 (maybe January).
He had what sounded like something hitting the plastic rattling on the inside, no idea what that part is. It's possible it's simply a wire that got disconnected from the PCB, but I haven't looked at the insides to see what part of the lever has the activation circuit or not. There could also be something under the lever that activates a circuit, that broke off somewhere. Unfortunately there are no useful disassembly/teardowns that I can find. Just some old DGT 2010 repair done in German, but doesn't really show much about how the lever system activates.

Well my DGT 2500 broke, DGT replaced it under warranty. This video demonstrates the problem, and the great customer service. At the end of the video I demonstrate a great feature of the 2500 that none of my other chess clocks do.
I like the hourglass mode. I’ve been using my chess clocks as counters when studying .

I think it was just mine.
