Can't do anything without board dimensions.
Butler ripped carved game table with swan legs

BTW, if one can live without a dedicated chess table but still wants a nice table to put a board on, I saw some antique writing tables that are amply sized and properly configured (a clear, flat surface), even with a drawer, for not so much money.
A little local searching might turn up something very nice.
I saw one of solid mahogany from 1900 for just $200. I don't know how distressed it was, if at all, but for some such a table would be great.

Expensive but a really nice chess table I guess if you want something well made that won't crack have missing screws or is low quality made in China crap you have to pay more!
I can't find anything like this sold here in Canada I don't want to order a table from the U.S. or another country because the shipping and other charges are brutal so I'm thinking of paying someone to hand make a chess table in the future for me we'll see.
