Hi all,

I am interested in old and or modern BENONI games, idealy game collection / middle game books where the middle game ideas are somewhat explained. Not so interested in opening or repertoire books that focus on move order for first 15 moves... Any recommendations? Thank you

as the title reveals, the book is an introduction to the Modern Benoni.....the book contains 46 complete, annotated games....

Starting Out: Modern Benoni by Endre Dr. Vegh

https://www.amazon.com/Starting-Out-Modern-Benoni-Everyman/dp/1857443667/ref=sr_1_1?crid=5FI1XH9TEDH5&keywords=starting+out+modern+benoni&qid=1644094707&s=books&sprefix=starting+out+modern+benoni%2Cstripbooks%2C135&sr=1-1

using Amazon's 'Look Inside' feature, scroll to the very end of the excerpt (pp. 175-176), to see the list of complete games.

Looks interesting, thanks for the link, unfortunately Euro price is higher.  Would be worth shipping from US.

The original book on the Benoni is Stephen Zeuthen’s Benoni: Son of Sorrow, which both analyzed structure and had over 800 Benoni games in the back. This is old, though… 1973. Mauricio Flores Rios book Chess Structures — A grandmaster guide has two chapters on the Benoni  structures and modern games.

Thanks, the mauricio Flores Rios one is interesting, since I thought about buying this one earlier.

From my own library I found just one book with some benoni. The life and games of Michail Tal - 7 games. In my game collection books about Kasparow I found almost nothing, allthough Kasparow is known for playing it occasionaly.
