Yep, definitly ... I'll play this set on a silicon chess board because it's unweighted and unfelted.
Chavet ... well almost ...
The set is about $86.00 which is not expensive by American standards. A few people here have spent $500.00 or more on a chess set. We do not have a VAT Tax ripping us off like in Europe.!

The Chavet number 6 on a 5.5 cm (2.16 inches) sq board
That's a NICE set. Frank is right though I am looking for the late '80's early '90's set with the bishops shaped like this ...

The first Chavet set I found is for sale for 35 Euro's (with the board included) before bidding. I guess it's a number 4 or 5 because the used board measures 44 cm.

Apologies if this is the wrong thread, but this is the closest I could find that seemed similar ... anyway, there's a "Chavet" from the 70s sold under the German brand, APFv Rolland, available on etsy now:

It's a study-sized set and it has a couple rook leaners so it sure seems legit. Any more info about these little guys?

@lotsoblots Looks right to me, it's a nice set. It's an older Chavet knight design. Your best bet to find it is to pour over this thread. https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/chavet-ndeg-8
Looks also nice on a 5.8 cm (2.25 inches) sq chessboard.
