I have never seen those first two sets before, except for the knight all other pieces are new to me. Very fascinating!
Chavet N° 8

As a bonus, the drueke of the poor, and the knights with misplaced eyes, in B210… what have they done with the quality.

I forgot, and this will allow me to come full circle.
I saw this game box, without really distinguishing all the pieces. I was more drawn to the chessboard. It's going to take a bit of work.
This is what I found out, and you don't have to believe me. The famous knight I had been looking for for over a year…
I also know that it will take me even longer to complete this one…

lol one circle closes and you found another one, Dieu wants you to keep continue
Really nice coffeehouse set!

Walter, the folding (I think) board with chess and checkers pieces is a wonderful find. It must be very satisfying to have that in your collection. 👍

The box is filled with clues that may allow me to trace its source. A handful of Necessity Tokens. A star in the backgammon points. It looks like the logos used in France by two houses "RT" and "JLR", but it may be an artistic choice... I also like this box. It allowed me to classify a good number of chess boards. I don't have the key to close it. The only negative point is precisely the locking system: two nipples protrude and it's inevitably annoying when you turn the box over to play chess. A perforated back plate is to be considered...
The people who sell these boxes of games regularly forget to mention the presence of the chess sets... that's why I rarely look for chess sets ;-)
I found something like that on the NYC subway system yeas ago, when I worked in Manhattan.
Someone apparently left it behind....I have no idea what I ever did with it now....The memory is going I guess.....A reasonable rationalization as to why I am playing so badly.

What is the odd that you find a mixed set with the knight you're looking for and a beautiful coffeehouse set at that? Talking about against all odds, what is the odd that you find me another set just like that?

If I take into account the size of existing or manufactured games, then the probability that a person has precisely these two games, then loses the famous piece, then decides to replace it, and even that one of his descendants sell the game, I must certainly get closer to zero with big steps...
For the second question, I'm getting even closer to zero.
For me it's not mathematics but rather pastry, because at the end I just have a little chery on my cake ;-)

I hate it when probabilities goes to zero
I dare to say when you get me that B210 and that coffeehouse set the probability of me sending you a cake and a box of cherry is 101%.

And what is the probability that one of these 3 sets is a "B210"?
I have my opinion, maybe even a little hint ;-)

Sadly, with all the issues we've seen at Chavet I would think it's possible that all three could have been sold as B210's.
Thanks @michaelcausey7
I should have thought of that before and called you, Michael ;-) I had at least 50 questions identical to yours, but I quickly realized that I wouldn't have the answers. I'm obviously disappointed, but I'm not giving up...
The proof in pictures :
Curios Chavet N°4 - queen bishop
and this one - Chavet boxed
a bit of paper to wrap a B210 ;-)
and a red Gardé Ruhla…
