Thank’s. The first 55mm the 2nd 52 mm.
So, what about the KH size ?
Chavet Nº8 = 102 or 109 ?
@Walterbiensur You might have mentioned this before, what is the size of the Green Chavet King? 90mm?
The finish on your vintage sets are very clean and shiny. Do you use some sort of cleaner and wax regularly? Thank you for posting the photos to the forum.
+1 awesome board! Nicely done with categorizing them! I have all kind of vintage pieces from 88mm to 60mm, I'll check it tomorrow.
@Walterbiensur - thank you for starting this thread and for posting your pictures.
I have never seen Chavet pieces in the flesh but there’s seems to be a beautiful simplicity to these pieces - and your vintage pieces, polished in beeswax all look great. I especially like the green piece pictured and those dark brown pieces on that beautiful board above look magnificent too.
I note the glass-eyed pieces too - they make me smile - there’s a touch of whimsy about them, a playfulness that brings a smile. 👍
This and Michael’s ‘Local finds” thread are a joy to read. 👍
From my notes I have this as the following:
There are some margins and variations in between, for example I have 68mm and 71mm sets, and between both one has short rook crenellation and the other deeper crenellation. I guess that might have something to do with different era's or it's for export.

Corrections V2 - thank's a lot !
Oh sweeeet you got the 10 now! Congratz!
Yes ! Not easy, but I was very determinated
@Schachmonkey
Well seen. If the line is the shortest path between two points, I also appreciate the generous curves which are not necessarily programmed ;-)
@MCH818
Thank's !
It was when I got my hands on my first game - 1979 St 5 unmarked, after having lent it to a friend for several years, that I was forced to find a knight to replace this monstrosity.
This is how I came across your exchanges and how I became passionate about these sets. Say I haven't found the right knight yet, but I keep galloping in search of him !
And above all, all my little family can finally play properly, without thinking about sacrificing the knight first.
Sweet! Nice collection mister!
What's the square size of the board?
